Book Club

Hosted by Angus, the Book Club is an opportunity for you to dive deeply into the most influential books of our time; from classic masterpieces to modern best-sellers.

We explore a vast array of topics, including; spirituality, meditation, psychology, relationship dynamics, emotional well-being and more. All the books are discussed and taught through the lens of awakening.

The format of these classes can change, but often includes a short check-in, a 20-minute guided meditation and a talk on a chapter of the book – given by Angus. There is always time for Q&A’s at the end. Expect lively commentary, keen debate and deep reflections. There are always plenty of penny-dropping moments. We like to keep these sessions intimate, private and confidential to the group members.

All our Book Club courses run over 6 consecutive weeks. We meet either online over Zoom or in-person (please check as this varies from book to book course), once per week and the sessions last 75 mins. Please note that replays are made available only to group members, to protect the confidentiality of the group.

Do you want to find more meaning in life? Do you seek to know consciousness?

Do you yearn to explore the deeper significance of the world’s great spiritual traditions? In other words, would you like to know what exactly Buddha, Jesus and Lao Tsu were banging on about?

If so, this is the Book Club for you.

Gnosticism developed alongside Judeo-Christianity over two thousand years ago. But it had an important difference; Gnosticism emphasized, not faith, but direct perception of God. In this book we discover an unfolding drama of passion, political intrigue, martyrdom, and mystery. Dr. Hoeller traces a fascinating story through time and shows how Gnosticism has inspired such teachers and thinkers as Voltaire, Blake, Yeats, Hesse, Jung and Tolle.

Join me for a 6-week deep dive into this classic read. Each week I will give a talk on a given chapter, plus meditations, debate and lively discussion. Tea and biscuits will be served – along with good humour, good company and wise reflection!

Book now – spaces are limited if you are attending in-person at The Battersea Nest, 2B Stanmer Street, SW11 3EG
