“For over twenty years, I’ve been exploring and sharing practices from the worlds of therapy, yoga, mindfulness, and spirituality. My path has been about ongoing discovery — learning what it truly means to live with awareness and compassion. Over time, I’ve come to see that the most profound truths are often the simplest: that awakening to our true nature, to awareness, is always possible, and that through presence, we can begin to touch a deeper sense of peace within ourselves.”

My journey of awakening began in my late twenties. After several years working at a men’s magazine in London, I reached a breaking point — burnt out, depleted, and uncertain of who I was becoming. The life I had built no longer felt like my own. Eventually, I realised I could no longer remain in the corporate world, so I walked away — from my job, my home, and my relationship — without a clear plan; only a deep, quiet knowing that something within me needed to change.
Not long after, I encountered two teachers who profoundly shaped my path: Eckhart Tolle (The Power of Now) and Ajahn Sumedho, the Abbot of Amaravati Buddhist Monastery. Their teachings changed everything for me.
In 1999, I began teaching yoga and meditation in UK prisons. It was exhilarating. A few years later, I founded Battersea Yoga, which grew into one of London’s most well-loved studios — a beautiful community that touched over 40,000 students over two decades.
These days, my work has evolved. I’ve stepped away from running my busy yoga studio. I now dedicate my time to being Therapist and Spiritual Counsellor at my Battersea Therapy practice offering one-to-one sessions in London and online. I also offer regular Professional Mindfulness Teacher Trainings, Meditation Classes, Embodied Workshops, and Retreats – both in London and internationally. I find this transformative work with groups and individuals to be deeply fulfilling.
I host The Awaken Podcast, which has been described as deeply honest and intimate — a space for real conversations about the nature of awakening. My guests are extraordinary people from the worlds of spirituality, sexuality, and mental wellbeing. Together, we explore the raw, human side of transformation — with candour, truth, humour, and a good dose of humility.
I’m also a proud father of four, and I enjoy family life near the river in South West London. There’s no dog just yet, but my daughter insists this situation needs to be addressed as soon as possible.
